BASIC Program Overview
The BASIC Spine treatment program is focused on comprehensive spine health. Every patient has a different pathway to pain freedom and care is most important. Finding the perfect program for you is our sole mission. This means that we will work to ensure you are receiving the proper expedited treatment you need to improve your spine pain, joint pain, neck pain and beyond. Our all-in-one treatment locations are special in that we include physical therapists, chiropractors, pain management physicians, workers comp specialists, and spine surgeons as well as hand and foot doctors. We take the most appropriate, least invasive way to improve your spinal problem, in-house.
Your treatment program is specifically designed for you and your condition. By including a combination of your MRI/CT scans, a thorough physical exam and a complete health history, our practitioners are able to formulate the best spine program for you.
Our clinic provides unique treatments for common pain conditions, including stem cell injections. Stem cell injections are a unique, exclusive and patented therapy using embryonic stem cells in the spine. Injections are done in-office and are a cash-pay procedure. If you are interested in this program, please contact us (866) 398-0868.
We know that having back or neck problems and the pain associated with it is stressful. Our goal is to get you back to your regular lifestyle as quickly as possible.
BASIC Spine is a one stop practice for all of your back and neck pain issues. We are a world class group of professionals who are dedicated to helping the patients in southern California ease their back pain through the least invasive methods possible. If you have problems with a herniated disc, arthritis of the back, or any other of a number of back conditions, we can help you overcome them with cutting edge technology and compassionate care.
We have several offices located in the southern California area, and we know the issues that people in this region face. In addition, many of our staff members have been tapped as experts by members of the national media. We take pride in what we do, and we are the best in the business of healing your back. With our philosophy, our programs, and our staff, we can have you pain free in no time.
BASIC Spine believes in getting to the root cause of your back and neck pain using the least invasive methods possible. Many times back pain can be misdiagnosed. For instance, those who have pain in their lower back and leg can have diseases ranging from disc herniation to spinal stenosis. Getting a definitive diagnosis of your particular condition is vital to proper treatment and recovery from back pain.
We are also pioneers in ultra-minimally invasive back surgery. If you should need surgery, we have some of the best and brightest neurosurgeons that are well schooled in using the height of technology. Much of this technology involves making smaller incisions into the back to treat conditions. Most of our surgical patients have incisions of less than an inch and are back to work within a few days.
We have a number of programs at BASIC Spine to help you overcome your back pain. We are led by our team of neurosurgeons, and we have one of the best surgical programs in southern California. However, we are much more than just our surgical team. We do not believe in subjecting the back to surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. To that end, we have other programs that can help you stay away from surgery as long as possible.
We have a chiropractic and physical therapy program that can help you with adjustments and back exercises. In most cases, having the spine manipulated and working with a physical therapist can heal the condition causing the back pain. For pain management, we have a dedicated team of pain specialists to help with medication, injections, and therapy.
One of our most important and innovative programs is our stem cell program. We take ethically harvested stem cells from the umbilical cord blood, placenta, and amniotic fluid of babies carried to term. It is the newest treatment for back pain, and it shows a tremendous amount of promise in helping patients overcome spinal issues.
We have three nationally recognized spinal surgeons on our team. We are led by Dr. G. "Ty" Thaiyananthan, who was trained at Johns Hopkins and Yale Universities. He did his fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles California. He works in partnership with Dr. Bryan Oh, who trained at Stanford University, and Dr. Lytton A. Williams, who was trained at Cornell. Our doctors are often tapped to provide expert commentary on back problems for media nationwide.
Chiropractors are common in southern California, but we believe we have one of the best in William Leach, D.C. He was trained at the Los Angeles School of Chiropractic, and he can help you with adjustments or physical therapy as needed. For pain management, you can see our pain specialist Dr. Sheba Jilani, who trained at the University of California. In addition, we have a pain psychologist on staff, Pavan Mann, Ph.D., who can help you with the depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders that can arise from back pain. We also have support staff and physician’s assistants that can help make your journey with BASIC Spine a pleasant experience.
If you are having back or neck pain that just won’t quit, you owe it to yourself to find out the cause of the problem. We are the very best at diagnosing, treating, and resolving back and neck pain issues. Contact us today for a consultation.
